Therefore, how to measure the performance of related enterprise, and to improve internal productive environment of company is the subject of this study. The purpose of this study is to develop a systematic and effective method to improve production environment of biotechnology, increase its capacity, and most important, to measure the performance of biotechnology-related business. Data Envelopment Analysis and Malmquist were used to evaluate companies’ performance during the year between 1994 and 1996. The results reveal that most biotechnology-related business didn’t operate efficiently. Suggestions were provided to individual enterprise to improve its performance.
