Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學研究所 === 96 === Morphology of various polymer/clay nanocomposites were studied by transmission electron microscope (TEM) technique. Both synthesized clays (Mg-Al-LDH and Li-Al-LDH) and natural clays (CL88 and CL120) were mixed with different polymers to form organic/inorganic nanocomposites. These nanocomposites were cut into ultra-thin sections with a thickness of about 60 to 80 nm by an ultra-microtome. Several consecutive sections were collected on a copper grid. The state of dispersion of clays in polymer matrix was investigated with TEM. The factors affecting the dispersion of clays were discussed based on the TEM and XRD results.
