Delay and uncertainty are widely exist in control problems. They play an important role of stability analysis and controller design. And another problem we concered is time-delay problem. In the practical system, states transmission need times, so time-delay problem would happen. Because of the above reasons, we will discuss the robust stability of the time-delay systems in this thesis. The problem of neutral time-delay in control system is very significant, since it is frequently a source of instability and often encountered in various engineering systems. A complete study of the robust control of time-delay systems via the linear matrix inequality approach is presented in this dissertation. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals combining with linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques, simple and improved delay-dependent robust stability criteria are derived. Finally, some examples and simulation results are provided to illustrate the versatility and performance of the proposed method.
