Summary:碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 文教事業經營研究所 === 96 === The present study investigated elementary school teachers’ opinions on the Teacher Profession Development Evaluation in Taichung County. It further explored the relationships among the factors of teachers’ backgrounds, attitudes toward this evaluation, the contents of implementation (i.e., the purposes and methods of implementation, contents and enforcement rules, and supporting measures), and the possible difficulties they may encounter. Based on the findings, this study provides concrete suggestions for implementing the Teacher Profession Development Evaluation. The study adopted questionnaires to survey teachers’ opinions. Randomly selected public elementary teachers in Taichung County were surveyed with self-designed questionnaires—“A Survey of Teachers’ Opinions about the Implementation of Teacher Profession Evaluation Development at Elementary Schools in Taichung County”, and the total number of valid questionnaires is 250. The findings of the study are as follows: 1.Most of elementary teachers show affirmative opinions about the implementation of the Teacher Profession Development Evaluation. 2.Most of these teachers express affirmative opinions about the contents of the Teacher Profession Development Evaluation. 3.It significantly shows that there are differences of teachers’ opinions in terms of teachers’ duties, participation of the evaluation, and so on. 4.It significantly indicates that there are differences of teachers’ opinions in terms of teachers’ duties, teaching years, and so on. 5.As for the evaluation methods, a self-evaluation method is favored. 6.The support of professional developmental resources is the best supporting measure. 7.All of these teachers completely agree with the possible difficulties in implementing the Teacher Profession Development Evaluation. Finally, based on the above findings, the study provides related advices for reference.
