碩士 === 正修科技大學 === 機電工程研究所 === 96 === An investigation of stress and vibration in a heavy duty, motorcycle air cleaner is considered in this article. Because the development of the automobile and motorcycle is so fast, the study on the air cleaner for automobile and motorcycle is necessary. Although the air cleaner effects on effect of a vehicle engine are small, the effects affect the life time of a vehicle engine significantly. Therefore, the performance of a cleaner for a heavy duty motorcycle is worthy to study. Because of a higher pressure in heavy duty motorcycle, the structure of a cleaner must be stronger. Meanwhile, a large vibration amplitude is also found in a heavy duty motorcycle. Hence, in this article, the stress and vibration in a heavy duty motorcycle considered.In this work, the software Pro/ENGINEER is employed to construct the model of a heary duty motorcycle. The software CFD is also used to study the flow performance of air in a air cleaner. Finally, the stress and vibration investigations are studied by using the ANSYS software. Both numerical and experimental analysis are used to identify the correction of investigation.
