Trafficking in persons is not just a problem for destination countries; it is a problem for countries of origin. This research is study about the trafficking of Thai women into Taiwan for the purposes of labour exploitation. The main purpose of this study is to obtain primary materials on the Thai women who have been trafficked for the purpose of providing a tool for better policy planning and action. Based upon information generated from the objectives identified below, it is hoped that the formulation of recommendations will result in improved victim protection as well as strengthening joint action against transnational organized criminal aspects of trafficking in persons. This research was a qualitative study, is based on review and analysis of available literature, including both primary and secondary data. The research used specific case studies to highlight Thai women who have been trafficked into Taiwan for the purposes of labour exploitation though case study on fraudulent marriage with Taiwanese citizens. An analysis of various written sources such as the legislation, policies, government and non-governmental (NGO) reports was undertaken. Interviews with Thai women who are been trafficked victims, focused on their demographic information on victims, recruitment practices, routes and experiences during the travel, the use of deception, coercion and exploitation. Interviews with non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on their method for assisting trafficking victims. Although this research is limited the case study that can not be regarded as indicative of every situation of trafficking, but represent a range of situations and treatment of trafficked persons.
