| Summary: | 碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 建築研究所 === 96 === Green building is the most important issue in the construction industry today, so this study aims to apply the experiences of the cold formed steel in the U.S. and Japan used on the low-level buildings construction in Taiwan, and expects to reduce the use of high power-consuming construction materials.
However, cold formed steel is not a stranger to the construction market in Taiwan, but it is rare to use it as the main construction material. It is mostly used as a secondary structure or on temporary buildings. Present survey on the low-level building in Taiwan showed that the ratio of the cold formed steel as the main construction material is very low, and reinforced concrete is the most popular material. Thus this study adopted Fuzzy Delphi Method and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze the relationship between the aspects and factors needed to be considered when the cold formed steel is applied to construction in order to provide a reference for the promotion strategies of the cold formed steel.
Accordingly, this study selected a hierarchy analysis structure composed of 6 affecting aspects and 23 factors, and the evaluation, analysis and comparison by AHP concluded that the economical aspect is the first and foremost consideration when promoting the application of the cold formed steel to the construction industry. In other words, green building might be the pivotal idea of the promotion of the cold formed steel, but its economic aspect is the key point of the market demand. So it is necessary to improve the design and production technology to reduce its production cost, which would reinforce its aspects of economy, safety and environmental friendliness and increase its acceptability in Taiwan.
