Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊管理學系(所) === 96 === In traditional history classes, the teachers and students usually teach and study paper materials in books. However, it is easy to let students get lost in the geographical space and the relations between history events. History events are complicated, because they are composed by many components, such on “who initiated the event”, “what’s happened”, “when it happened”, and “where the event happened”. With the evolving of information technology development, the teaching of history makes further well presentation gradually. The most common way is using Flash to make dynamic interactive teaching system. However, many historical experts and teachers do not good in using IT. They can not develop appropriate digital teaching materials easily.
Because strong computing abilities of GIS to collect, integrate, analyze, store and present space information, system designers can use it to process a large number of geographical information data. Therefore, it can be used in the history teaching system to display the spatial relation changed by history events properly. However, the changed space objects with time evolution and the spatial logical problem has not been further developed yet.
Therefore, the purpose of the study is to propose a system focused on three different roles of the teaching system, namely, history teachers, material designers, and students. The system was based on pre-developed HES-SPATO (History Educational System - Spatial, Person, Action / Attribute, and Temporal Object) with SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standard included, in addition, the ideas of temporial-spatial object and spatial logic were added. The system not only showed the spatial relation between history events clearly but also expressed dynamic changed relation between space objects more clearly.
After completing the system development, the experiments were made to test the effectiveness of the study and perception of 9 learners and 4 authors. The Interview Guide of Qualitative Research to evaluate the system was adopted. The results verified that the proposed system is better than the traditional historial teach system. The proposed system not only made learners to unsderstand the spatial relation which are changed by history events more easily but also helped authors to create space materials more easily and friendly.
