China has become the largest copper consuming country of the world since 2002, 30% of copper production comes from reused or recycled copper, copper scrap has played an important role in copper market. This paper proposes daily data from April 1 2004 to October 31 2007 to conduct an empirical study on the analysis of influential factors of copper scrap market in mainland China.The study shows that NYMEX Copper Futures has a significant influence of the price fluctuation in LME and SHFE Copper Futures, copper cathodes and copper scrap in China market. The price of copper scrap is significantly influenced not only by China copper cathodes market but also SSE Composite Index, Dow Jones Index, US dollar exchange rate and NYMEX light crude oil futures.
