Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化工與材料工程研究所 === 96 === The objectives of this research are to produce ATO nanorods by calcining the precursors of antimony-doped tin oxide (ATO) by co-precipitation method at high temperature with proper additives and to prepare ATO anti-static thin films using coating solutions containing these dispersed ATO nanorods. In addition, the growth mechanism of crystalline ATO nanorods and the effect of the preparation conditions as well as additives on the properties of ATO powders and films are also investigated. From the experimental results, it is found that in order to produce crystalline ATO nanorods, sodium silicate must be added in the precursor solution before co-precipitation and ATOH must be mixed with sodium chloride before calcination. By calcining at 950℃ for 1 hour the precursors that were co-precipitated at pH = 3 and added with specific amounts of sodium silicate (n(SnCl4+SbCl3):n(Na2SiO3) = 1:0.75) and sodium chloride (n(ATOH):n(NaCl) = 4:1), ATO nanorods that are over 300 nm in length and 10~15 nm in diameter were produced. Finally, ATO anti-static films with electrical resistance about 10^7~10^9 Ω were deposited on glass substrates by dip coating method using suspensions containing these ATO nanorods.
