Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊工程所 === 96 === Base on IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) standard, the bandwidth is allocated by base station (BS), we proposed a cross-layer scheduling and multi-user resource allocation for wireless video streaming on BS. In WiMAX Quality of Service (QoS), our research is based on rtPS constrain, because of real-time application. Our approach is based on Cross-Layer with Application, MAC layer, and Physical layer. For this, key parameters from these two layers are abstracted. The abstracted parameters at application layer describe impact distortion of pre-encoded video streams. We use Recursive Optimal Pixel Estimation (ROPE) for impact estimation. At the Physical layer, it describes the current transmission characteristics of all users, like packet loss rate (PLR). We joint consider these parameters for scheduling and resource allocation. For pre-encoded video streaming system, our cross-layer scheduling algorithm and fairness resource allocation can obtain a better video quality and keeps the fair quality between each user. Comparing to live encoder scenario, our method has lower complexity for real-time system implementation. In simulation result, our approach obtains the better quality and fairness for multi-users. Even packets suffer Packet Loss Rate (PLR), our approach still works.
