Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 教育研究所 === 96 === The design of this study applies a historical method to this investigation. Throughout clarifying questions, collecting, examining and analyzing historical resources etc., I examined the leader of education, Hai Dung Academy, from the time period, Kang Xi 59 years (1720) to be ahead of the domination of Japan in Ching Taiwan. During this period, the ebb and flow, organizational systems, educational activities, the direct and indirect influences on local culture and education were carefully examined.
Specifically, four main purposes of this research are as follows.
1.To investigate the ebb and flow of Hai Dung Academy in Ching Taiwan.
2.To understand the organizational system of Hai Dung Academy in Ching Taiwan.
3.To probe into the educational activities of Hai Dung Academy in Ching Taiwan.
4.To analyze the impact of Hai dung Academy on Ching Taiwan.
From the investigations above, five conclusion are illustrated as follows.
1.The establishment of Hai Dung Academy in Ching Taiwan was led officially in the beginning. However, the following development depended on the gentries’ donation.
2.The Hai Dung Academy was organized simply and completely that outstanding teachers and hard working students with good character assembled there.
3. Chu his philosophy and Confucian Cultivation are the mainly focus in Hai Dung Academy’s education.
4. Morality and the Civil Service Examination were both taken seriously in Hai Dung Academy. Students in Hai Dung Academy were also encouraged to attend the Civil Service Examination for mental and physical pursuits.
5. Students in Hai Dung Academy were enthusiastic about local cultures and
education. They established and maintained the poetry association and literature association.
