Concrete goals include: understanding the present situation of the teaching reflection and the professional development need of teachers, exploring the influence that different backgrounds have on the teaching reflection and the professional development need of teachers as well as the effect that different backgrounds along with the teaching reflection has on professional development, in order to provide relevant organizations a reference point in the promotion of the qualification and training process of teachers such as community college teachers. In order to achieve the above stated goals, surveys were used. Using Taichung Community College teachers as study subjects, 458 surveys were sent out, with 233 surveys effectively returned, an effective return rate of 50.9%. Using descriptive analysis, one-way analyses of variance in dependent-sample, logistic regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis, the following conclusion is obtained: 1.Teaching reflection is subdivided into the level, the type, and the content of teaching reflection. More than 60% of Taichung Community College teachers reached the criticism level of teaching reflection; more than 70% of Taichung Community College teachers were categorized as pre-action teaching reflection; the content of reflection for Taichung Community College teachers was on the whole and in part well-received. 2.Professional growth development need includes professional teaching need and social resource need. Taichung Community College teachers have a strong need in whole and in part for professional growth 3.The level, the type, and the content of teaching reflection of Taichung Community College teachers did not differ based upon background differences. 4.The professional teaching need of Taichung Community College teachers is affected by educational level and the level of teaching reflection. 5.The social resource need of Taichung Community College teachers is affected by gender, educational level, and the content of teaching reflection. 6.The professional growth need of Taichung Community College teachers as a whole is affected by educational level, the level of teaching reflection, and the content of teaching reflection. According to the above conclusions, we would like to offer recommendations for future reference on community college teachers, community colleges, and future related studies.
