Subjects in this study were 754 elementary school teachers with different background variables in Taichung County, Taichung City, Changhua County, and Nantou County. Data were collected by questionnaires. The main findings in this study are as follows: 1. Elementary school teachers’ perception of education problems about new immigrants’ children are between the middle and high levels. 2. Elementary school teachers’ perception on coping strategies for education problems about new immigrants’ children are at high levels. 3. Elementary school teachers with more working experience and higher education background have higher levels of perception on education problems about new immigrants’ children than those with less working experience and lower education background. 4. Female elementary school teachers with more working experience have higher levels of perception of coping strategies for education problems about new immigrants’ children than male ones with less working experience. 5. Elementary school teachers in different counties and different scales have significantly different perception on education problems about new immigrants’ children . 6. Elementary school teachers in urban areas and in school of larger scales(with more than 49 classes) have significantly higher level perception on coping strategies for education problems about new immigrants’ children . The researcher provided implications and suggestions for the education authorities, schools, and elementary school teachers.
