Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among personality traits, emotional intelligence, and life adjustment. In order to achieve this purpose, first, the literature and research were reviewed and explored as the basis for further research. Second, survey method was employed as the tool for this research. This study adopted cluster sampling investigation. This subjects were drawn from physically adult learners in In-Service Master Program of National Chung-Cheng University. A total of 550 questionnaires were distributed, and 479 effect samples were obtained. Descriptive statistic, One-Way MANOVA, Pearson Product-moment correction, and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. Within the scope of the study, the following conclusions were obtained:
1. The personality traits of adult learners mostly inclined toward “ agreeableness, ” and are less characterized by “ extraversion. ”
2. The emotional intelligence of adult learners reached a high intermediate level, and the score of ability to promise was the highest, as well as the score of ability to social contact was the lowest.
3. The life adjustment of adult learners mostly inclined toward “ a few satisfactory, ” and the score of family adjustment was the highest, as well as the score of physiology adjustment was the lowest.
4. Males are superior to females in emtional intelligence.
5. Married, the age is longer, the work period of service to be longer, not to temporarily leave school adult of learner the thought that in the whole life adjustment on displays good.
6. The personality traits of adult learners was found significantly related to their emotional intelligence.
7. The personality traits of adult learners was found significantly related to their life adjustment.
8. The emotional intelligence of adult learners was found significantly related to their life adjustment.
9. The background , the personality traits and the emtional intelligence can forecast the life adjustment.
