Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 軍事工程研究所 === 96 === This study is to investigate the behavior and the failure mechanism of concrete subjected to large strains, high strain rates and high pressures by using numerical simulations. A famous finite element software, LS-DYNA, is adopted, and four different concrete models (MAT16, MAT72R3, MAT111, MAT159) are used in the study. By performing the convergence analysis and considering the effects of the penalty function and erosion coefficient of elements on the residual velocity of the projectile, a numerical model is calibrated, and is then verified, based on the experimental results. With the proposed numerical model, the effects of the concrete scabbing, ballistic limit of the projectile and the rebar in terms of the residual velocity of the projectile are also studied. Numerical results show that the proposed model effectively and fairly forecasts the behavior and the failure mechanism of concrete subjected to large strains, high strain rates and high pressures.
