Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is an excellent gas barrier. In this study, the polyoxometalate H5PV2Mo10O40 supported on PEI/PVA blend polymer were prepared and characterized. The detailed physico-chemical properties and catalysis of the highly toxic substrate of the hybrids were characterized by UV-Vis, SEM and EDX, respectively. Taking Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis as target bacteria, suspension quantitative bactericidal test and inhibitory test were carried out for antibacterial efficacy.
