Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 95 === The important role of information system (IS) project increased due to the rapid evolution of information technology. However, the reasons for failure of project management are not mainly from its information technology but mostly because of a lack of understanding of customer needs and improper project management in IS project. Building up an integrated performance model of IS project under project circumstance with uncertainty has therefore become an important issue for businesses and researchers. The objective of this study is to develop an integrated performance model of IS project for telecommunication industry. Six categories of variables (technology characteristics, project characteristics, task characteristics, project manager characteristics, team member characteristics, and organizational characteristics) which are the key success factors of IS project performance in terms of three dimension ─ task, psychology and organization. Empirical studies are conducted to project managers, project staffs and system users in Taiwan telecommunication industry. Implications in theory and practice are discussed.
