Floor plans and façade designs are closely interrelated, and the former can sometimes constrain the latter during the design process. This relationship lends itself to the application of constraint-based systems. This research therefore designed a system to connect apartment plans and façades intelligently. This is divided the constraints into four categories: structural form, architectural style, function and regulation. In addition, this study used a genetic algorithm to generate plausible alternatives rapidly.
