Therefore, the study based on the characteristics of smoke movement and fire growth curve to compare smoke height between the FDS software and fire safety verification handbook. According to the fire accidental case study the smoke always is the major killer in the fire sites. Thus, it is important to know the time of smoke affected the occupant’s evacuation. The smoke height prediction method discussed in this thesis may apply in the safety egress analysis in a building fire.
