Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 機械工程系碩士班 === 95 === We study the transportation of miscible magnetic fluids in a vertical capillary tube. The motion of magnetic fluid is investigated both by experiments and simulations. The experiments and numerical results of the transportation of miscible magnetic fluids in a capillary tube provide quantitative information that is essential for a systematic analysis of flow field. The influences of experiment’s parameters and dimensionless control parameters, such as field strengths, viscosity, diameter, field strengths (Mg) and viscosity contrasts (R) are analyzed. For experiments, a higher finger velocity is observed at less viscosity, larger field strengths and diameter. In general, a stronger magnetic effect, less viscosity and larger diameter leads to a better mass transfer performance. For simulations, a higher speed is observed at a larger field strengths (Mg) and less viscosity contrasts (R). However, in addition to the moving speeds, larger field strengths (Mg) and less viscosity contrasts (R) leads to a better mass transfer performance and higher circulation.
