碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 資訊管理系碩士班 === 95 === Today, the development of internet technologies builds up a platform providing various information on medical science. Among those databases, Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) on clinical medical treatment and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on independence learning, medical science network database (MNDB) are widely used. MNDB is an electronic library with systematic collection on journal articles and proceedings of conferences. Since MNDB plays an important role on medical technologies, it is an important issue to understand the behaviors of intern doctors on using MNDB in order to plan, execute and improve medical science education. In this research, personal behaviors are regarded as highly related to personal intentions, therefore, the Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior (DTPB) Model (Tayloir and Todd, 1995) was adopted. DTPB model describes the behavioral intention with three factors: Attitude Toward the Behavior, Subjective Norm and Perceived Behavior Control. This research investigates the behavioral intention of an intern using MNDB and tries to interpret it by using the DTPB model. The three factors of DTPB model can be deconstructed into several exogenous variables to further describe the behavioral Intention. Also, experiments were developed and Descriptive Statistics were used to analyze information seeking behavior and path analysis to verify the DTPB model, and furthermore, forecast behavioral Intention of an intern. All experimental samples were from 60 interns of a designated hospital. The experiment results show that the behavioral intention of using MNDB will be influenced by Self-efficacy through perceived behavioral control indirectly. That means the improvement of interns’ Self-efficacy will change their Behavioral Intention. Moreover, self-study ability and skills of EBM Clinical Application may be enhanced for interns in the future. In addition, as Facilitating Conditions is strongly proportional to Self-efficacy and positive correlated to Perceived Behavior Control, if software and hardware resource (database, training, consultation, network quality and so on) can be improved, the Behavioral Ability of using MNDB will be enhanced to reach the objectives of self-study and clinical application. In the future, different kinds of samples can be adopted to help us develop new forecasting path under DTPB model.
