Setting up this mechanism can facilitate knowledge innovation in terms of knowledge to knowledge, knowledge to ability, and ability to ability. As the result, the organization will have the ability and endowment to introduce new products and services and become more competent when facing competition.
In order to study the knowledge innovation mechanism of small-to-medium sized bank, Taichung Commercial Bank was selected. This study interviewed the section chief of the centre, the managing director, branch''s assistant manager, and staffs from law department. Their perspectives were then compared and contrasted with the author''s own experience. The results showed that education and training, work shift, overall environmental change, challenging goal, good communication and coordination, knowledge database setup, and bonus system could expand staffs’ knowledge and diversified their abilities.
