In practice, lifetime performance index is a popular means to assess quality performance, where L is the known lower specification limit. Most capability indices assume that the quality characteristic has a normal distribution. Nevertheless, the lifetime model of many businesses and products generally may possess a non-normal distribution which including exponential, Pareto or Weibull distribution and so forth. Therefore, the assumption of normality is often erroneous for the lifetime model of many businesses and products. Moreover, censored samples may arise in life testing experiments. This study purposes to utilize the lifetime performance index in assessing the lifetime performance of businesses and products more generally and accurately. A new approach of analyzing non-normal quality data is proposed in this study. The new approach will apply the Power data transformation to construct a new probability distribution family. The new distribution family is said to be Power distribution family. Under the assumption of Power distribution family, this study constructs a statistical estimator of with the Type II right censored sample. The statistical estimator of is then utilized to develop the new hypothesis testing procedure in the condition of known L. The new hypothesis testing procedure is a quality performance assessment system in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The new proposed testing procedure not only can handle non-normal quality data, but also can handle an approximate normal quality data. Moreover, the managers can then employ the new testing procedure to determine whether the lifetime performance of businesses and products adheres to the required level. The managers can also utilize this procedure to enhance business operation capability and product process capability. none none 吳忠武 鄭景俗 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 115 en_US
