| Summary: | 碩士 === 育達商業技術學院 === 資訊管理所 === 95 === The satellite navigation system has been an indispensable assistant tool for the car drivers due to its popular applications and flourishing development. There are more and more carmakers to provide the navigation systems as a standard device for a new car. GPS (Global Positioning System) is a satellite navigation system which can provide an accurate and time for the users to locate their positions with a precision of about 10 meters at present. Such precision has already satisfied with the most of the requirements for the car drivers. This is why the GPS technology and business opportunity are growing up so rapidly. Hence, this study intended to develop a management information system for the GPS-based telemetry. The GPS receivers were adopted to record the location and time for the vehicles, and then the telemetry information system can work to transfer the data, compute the coordinate and analyze the trajectory, distance, speed and mileage charge. The relevant telemetric information can further be stored into a database for any management application.
