Description
Summary:碩士 === 育達商業技術學院 === 企業管理所 === 95 === This study aimed to investigate and analyze the evaluation factors affecting professors when they considered if a patent application was worthwhile. An SPSS statistic software package was used to analyze the collected data. The results showed that an understanding of business information, availability of information resources, rewards, and interaction with industry were critical factors. Moreover the differences in the age and the faculty of the professors, their experience of working in industry and in cooperation with industry, their previous experience in patent application and commercialization were also found to have a significant influence on part of four critical factors. From the results of this study, it is recommended that the government should encourage universities to strengthen cooperation with industry; and that the universities should provide rewards to encourage professors to apply for patents. Professors should be more involved in cooperation programs with industry to ensure the transfer of innovative knowledge into economic benefits.
