Currently, Micro-Auto Focus system has three main solutions- Stepping Motor, VCM (Voice Coil Motor) and Piezo. With the increase of sensors pixels and more and more high-end image quality and powerful functions requested by consumers, Micro-Auto Focus system has become an essential component for mobile phones, portable PC (such as notebook, UMPC and so on),and DSＣ products. This dissertation will base on these three Micro-Auto Focus system solutions to analyze the theory of actuator, the convenience of assembly, lens module design, power consumption and other portions’merits and drawbacks. Meanwhile, for product integration, the camera module would be selected as a real example to do demonstration.
