The needed data of this research is from the questionnaire which includes: first, personal information (gender, grade, parental discipline, teacher’s discipline, coach’s discipline, school achievement, school’s subsidiary courses, athletic performance, living on campus or not, attending athletic class or not, academic performance after attending, continuing to attend the athletic class after graduation or not); second, the social support scale (the four constructions are the support from family, from teammates, from schoolmates, and from class teachers); third, the school adaptation scale (the four constructions are peer adaptation, teachers and students’ interaction, school adaptation, study adaptation.) This research takes boxing players in Taiwan’s junior high schools in as the research object, using the Purposive Sampling. In total 180 questionnaires are given out and among which 156 are returned. The response rate is 86.6%. The collected data are computed and analyzed with the descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one way ANOVA, and Pearson's product-moment correlation. The significant level is set at α=.05. The results of this research indicate that: A. The social support and school adaptation of boxing players in Taiwan’s junior high schools are approximately good, scoring at the middle-upper place. B. The parental discipline, the teacher’s discipline, the school achievement, living on campus or not, attending athletic class or not and so on do not reach the obvious difference in "overall social support" and in each dimension. C. The background variables of different grades, school’s subsidiary courses, athletic performance and so on reach the obvious difference in "supports in the overall society"; the background variables of gender, coach’s discipline, academic performance after attending athletic class, continuing to attend the athletic class after graduation or not and so on do not reach the obvious difference, but do reach the obvious difference in partial dimension. D. The academic performance after attending and continuing to attend the athletic class after graduation or not do not reach the obvious difference in "overall school adaptation" and in each dimension. E. The background variables of gender, different grades, teacher’s discipline, coach’s discipline, the school achievement, athletic performance and so on reach the obvious difference in "overall school adaptation"; the background variables of parental discipline, school’s subsidiary courses, living on campus or not, attending athletic class or not do not reach the obvious difference in "overall school adaptation"; but do reach the obvious difference in partial dimension. F. "The social support" and "the school adaptation" reach positive relationship. KEY WORD: boxing players, social support, school adaptation Lin, Kuo-Jui 林國瑞 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
