There are six subjects participate in this study. The subjects were the top level athlete in the pass two years of national competitions. And they were average age 20.5 years old, height 174.8 cm, and weight 63 kg. We selected the two categories, according Olympic regulations, was 58kg and under and 58 kg to 68kg. The research used a Kodak high speed (FASTCAM-Super 10K) camera to record the DKS motion and a Silicon Coach software analyzed the data. The results as follows: 1.) Reaction time: 0.66 seconds for active attacks and 0.76 seconds for passive attacks. 2.) Kick time: 0.53 seconds for the first kick of an active attack and 0.45 seconds for the second kick. Moreover, 0.44 seconds for the first kick of the passive attack and 0.44 seconds for the second kick. 3.) Attacking distance: 2.16m for the first kick of the active attack and 1.67m for the second kick. Moreover, 1.18m for first kick of the passive attack and 0.46m for the second kick. 4.) Attacking speed: 9.37 m/s for first kick of an active attack and 8.79 m/s for the second kick. And, 7.09 m/s for first kick of a passive attack and 6.39 m/s for the second kick. The following study could apply that results made from the data above. The double kick in the sky was a jump attack technique used to cover a long attack distance at a fast speed. DKS was covered long distance and constitutes continuous attack motion during competition. The DKS technique was most effective for passive and active double kick in the sky for elite Tae kwon do athletes and gaining an advantage in receiving points.
