Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 科技藝術研究所數位藝術創作組 === 95 === Perception allows people to experience existence, accept information from the world, and communicate. This thesis investigates how memories, images and sounds, might be influenced, misremembered, or confused through the use of technological manipulation. The amazing possibilities of technology limit our sense of existence, subvert and obscure our belief, and bewilder us. Sense perception can even be dis-
torted through the exploration of technology.
Three art works, “Disappearing Moments”, “Four-dimensional Structure (1),” and “Four-dimensional Structure (2),” give viewers an experience of delirium and il-
lusions by “misplacing” perception. The part real, part unreal images inform the aud-
ience that their memories are un reliable and what they see is different than what is. The artworks challenges our understanding of self-being based on our rational perce-
ption. This thesis discusses the effects of the artworks and how the works and exhi-
bition were created.
