This research adopted the questionnaire survey and the semi-structured interview. General affairs directors of elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli Area are research population, and “Work pressure measurement of general affairs director of elementary schools” and “Work satisfaction measurement of general affairs directors of elementary schools” are used as the study tools. The valid samples are 337 general affairs directors. The research findings are as follows: 1.The overall work pressure of general affairs directors of elementary schools is above the medium level, in which by “Specialized competency” pressure is the highest one. 2.In “Interpersonal relationship” and “Superior leadership” aspects of the work pressure, the male general affairs director's work pressure is significantly higher than the female counterparts. 3.In “Specialized competency” aspect of the work pressure, the age variable plays a significant one, in which the younger directors have a higher level of work pressure. 4.In “Overall work pressure” and “Administrative load” and “Specialized competency” aspects of the work pressure, the tenure variable also plays a significant one, in which the directors with less working experience have a higher level of work pressure. 5.The overall work satisfaction of general affairs directors of elementary schools is above the medium level, in which “Principal Leadership” aspect of satisfaction is the highest. 6.In “Working conditions” aspect of satisfaction, the directors with the age above 51 years is significantly higher than the directors with the age between 31 to 40 years old. 7.In “Interpersonal relationship” aspect of satisfaction, the directors with the tenure above 10 years is significantly higher than the directors with the tenure less than 1 year. 8.In “Interpersonal relationship” aspect of satisfaction, the directors with a bachelor degree is significantly higher than the directors with an associated bachelor degree. 9.The overall work pressure and overall work satisfaction have the significantly negative correlation..
