This study proposed an E-learning design framework-- electronic problem-based learning (E-PBL) based on the analysis on the need of student’s learning and the characteristics of subject domain. Both quantitative and qualitative approach of data gathering and analysis used in the study. The main findings of the study are briefed as follows: 1. The E-PBL model was useful to accomplish individual knowledge construction, to provide chance of collaboration and to advance Social studies. It is passable to apply some information and to acquire problem solving ability and active learning attitude passably. 2. Most of student reported positive responses to the E-PBL design of web interface, module design, instructional unit and learning environment. 3.From the implemtation process of E-PBL in the classroom, the researcher reframed the educational meaning of technology integrated into instruction, reflected deeply on the issues of student-centered teaching and learning, and went further to explore the difficulty of adapting E-PBL in real context of school classroom.
