A. Chen “ATDE” creative thinking teaching model, and to scrutinize the impacts of twelve experimental courses of creativity on kindergarten children. A nonequivalent pretest-posttest experimental design was employed. From a kindergarten in Taipei, the subjects of this study were selected and divided into the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group consisted of 26 preschoolers participating in twelve Group Play courses (total 12 hours) while the control group consisted of 27 preschoolers participating in general courses. The instrument was “Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, figural form A” (TTCT). The data were analyzed by using one-way ANCOVA. The major findings of the study were concluded as follows: 1. The verbal assessment results of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking In verbal fluency, the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group. However, in verbal flexibility and originality, the experimental group showed no significant improvement than the control group. 2. The figure assessment results of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking In elaboration, the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group but did only averagely in fluency, flexibility and originality. 3. The research summarized a series of principles of Group Play Course to improve the creativity of preschoolers through 12 courses. Based on the findings, the research proposed some suggestions to workers of early education, parents, and researchers as references in research or teaching in the future.
