碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 體育研究所 === 95 === The purposes of this study were to explore the correlation between the motives and constraints of participation, and comparing the difference under different background variables in elementary schools’ Diabolo Team athletes. A self-developed questionnaire was used as the instrument. 294 valid questionnaires were recovered, and the valid recovering rate is 92.74%.Within the scope of this study, the following conclusions were derived: 1. In comparing the differences among motives of participation, there were significant differences were found on the following factors by grade groups: Team Training, Sport Development, Leisure of Sport, Competition and Environment; there were significant differences were found on the Sport Development and the Leisure of Sport by comparing different time of joining. Significant differences were found on the Environment by comparing the different time of training, and were found on the Team Training and the Sport Development by comparing the different events. 2. In comparing the differences among the constraints, there were significant differences on Capability by gender groups, and on Team Support, Outside Structure by comparing the different time of training. Significant differences were also found on the Team Support factor by comparing the different events. 3. There was significant negative correlation between motives of participation and the constraints among elementary schools’ Diabolo team athletes.
