Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 教育心理與諮商研究所碩士班 === 95 === Under the social stigma influence of Dang-Ki, in Taiwan most Dang-Ki are not willing to admit their spiritual role in the public outside of temple, which apparently cause crisis and confusion in their self-identity of Dang-Ki. Therefore, this study is focus on how Dang-Kis developed their self-identity as Dang-kis. The study is about a woman''s becoming a Dang-Ki and her self-identity. The research participant, a woman Dang-Ki, is college-degree social worker and is trained under the principal of western scientific empirical knowledge. The research methods adopted case study, includes data collecting, date arrangement and analysis.
The study finds that the process of becoming a Dang-Ki was affected by many factors. These factors can be divided to two directions: positive and negative. The positive direction is encouraged the research participant becoming a Dang-Ki, another is obstacles of the research participant becoming a Dang-Ki. The role identity of becoming a Dang-Ki of the research participant is through confrontation and conflict between the two opposite factors. The researcher found that there are three phases of developing self-identity as a Dang-ki: 1. belief and disbelief. 2. mortal and immortal. 3. all or none. The study found that when the research participant looks more into the progress of the becoming a Dang-Ki, her internal confrontation of dualism gradually turns to be one inner core beliefs.
The study also finds out that the identity process of becoming a Dang-Ki is repetition of resistance and acceptance of one self. The psychological process of becoming a Dang-Ki is the process of self-identity of Dang-Ki and is the decreasing identify of the ego and the increasing development of transpersonal self.
