Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 有機高分子研究所 === 95 === The thesis is mainly divided into two parts. The first part is the installation of an QMS (Quadrupole mass spectrometer) extended system on the FT-IR vacuum apparatus. The purpose of this modification is to add the capability to in-situ examination the IR-inactive species during the photocatalytic reaction. From the preliminary test, the base pressure of the QMS system is 5 ×10-8 torr. After uptaking the methyl iodide (CH3I) vapour from the IR reaction chamber, the standard mass spectrum can be obtained.
The second part of this thesis is the study of photocatalytic reactions of organic molecules and TiO2, including the reaction between 2-Bromoethyl Ethyl Sulfide (2-BEES) and Degussa P-25 TiO2 (DP TiO2) and the reaction between CH3I and TiO2 nanotubes (TNT). For the photooxidation of 2-BEES with DP TiO2, the formation of CO2 (2345 cm-1), CO (2141 cm-1), HCOOH (1675 cm-1), CH3OCH3 (1189 cm-1), and CH3OH (1070 cm-1) was observed, indicating the degradation of 2-BEES upon irradiation. For the photooxidation of CH3I with TNT, however, the major reaction products are CO2 (2345 cm-1) and CH2O(1713 cm-1). The dependence of photocatalytic process on TiO2 pretreatment is also discussed in the thesis.
