The demographic factors included age, height, weight and BMI had no obvious difference in two systems. The prevalent rate of musculoskeletal disorders is higher than 90% for maintaining workers, no matter in Japan or Europe system. The most uncomfortable position is the low back / waist (47.6% and 46.4%), shank、right shoulder and left shoulder disorder is in order. It is worthy noticed that 25.0% personnel of Europe garages feel uncomfortable in left shank by themselves. The scores were relatively 10.65 and 9.18 from A Table(upper limb hazard assessment Table)of MSDs checklist in two systems. The sum of scores came from low-back/waist and manual material handling hazard assessment tables were 11.51 and 10.03 respectively. The bending angle of shoulder and back in assembling car parts or maintaining automobile action was measured by goniometer. Results showed that the angle is larger for working in Japan factories than in Europe systems. Most of the muscular load monitoring during limb movement are more than 15%MVC that recommended by OSHA.especially in cylinder hood cover.
