As the injuries remediate, these disorders normally retreat and their previous sexual need restores leaving them having to deal with the challenges in sexual activities with their partners. This study focuses on :1. the change in level of sexual desire after a spinally injury males; 2. the changes and difficulties faced in sexual behavior of a spinally injured males; 3. methods utilized by the males to satisfy their sexual desire after the permanent spinal damage; 4. the spinally injured males’ expectations towards sexual activities in the future. This study utilized qualitative interview for data collection. It targeted samples from Kaohsiung and Pingtung counties, welling interviewees, and with previous sexual experience prior to the injuries. Five cases were studied, all males; one with the thoracic vertebra injuries and four with the cervical vertebra injuries. The main findings include: 1. The abrupt disability causes stress and challenges. 2. Though still present, the sexual need of the respondents generally decreases post injury. 3. Working/social competence and confidence bring sexual desire and hope. 4. Sexual fantasizing offers fulfillments and satisfactions. 5. Sexual education, rehabilitation, and counseling lead a turning point. 6. The expectation of partner always company with fears of family burden. 7. Sexual activity is an integral part of marriage. This study suggests: 1. It is feasible to execute simple and lighten sexual activities. 2. The spinally injured males should adjust their self-expectation. 3. To establish social support system for those who expect partner or marriage. 4. The related associations should organize sexual education, rehabilitation, and counseling activities. 5. Government policy should assist, subsidize and support the spinally injured males. 6. Government should provide particular public welfare and employed opportunity for the spinally injured males.
