In the experiment procedure, the glutinous substance of abelmoschus esculentus (hereinafter refereed to as the “glutinous substance”)is extracted using a solvent consists of pure water, alcohol,and 1.3BG. The differences among the extracted glutinous substances are compared by testing such substances with the polysaccharides and protein of galactose, bovine serum protein, and fixed-amount glutinous substance under different temperatures, or in different solvents and mixtures of solvents. Such a glutinous substance is wrapped in liposome to measure its size of particle diameter and potential difference for determining its stability. In order to prevent muddiness, condensation, and sedimentation of liposome caused by static electricity occurrence in the liposome, the liposome is suspended to increase its glutinousness to achieve a more stable status and serve as a stable ingredient of cosmetics, followed by harmony tests with surfactant, macromole moisture retainer, and solvent. By using the water-absorbing feature of liposome, which is also used as a vehicle, glutinous substance wrapped in liposome and glutinous substance not wrapped in liposome are compared for their effectiveness on skin. Allergy patch test is also conducted to determine its safety. The result of the experiment reveals that no allergy develops at all from both wrapped glutinous substance and glutinous substance not wrapped. After testing with skin keratin moisture retention analyzer and skin analyzer, the result clearly suggests that both substances can effectively improve skin.
