碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 95 === Airport is indubitably a place where confusing travelers have to suffer more sophisticated processes during their getting in or out of the territory! Furthermore, along with the complication of the interior space disposition to an up-to-dated airport terminal field, “way-finding” has become a major consideration to them. In order that travelers could be able to aim and reach their target(s) smoothly and easily and come out from predicament in the terminal filed – the ”signage system” seems a powerful tool to have the problem solved. In this study, the research was directed against the following subjects: 1.The influence of difficulty during “way-finding” against the travelers’ characteristic performance.2.The influence between importance and satisfaction to the “facility signage” against travelers’ characteristic performance.3.To analysis the diverseness between importance and satisfaction to travelers against major facility signage by mean of IPA. 4.To analysis the diverseness between importance and satisfaction to travelers against minor facility signage by mean of IPA. The research conclusively discovered that the travelers’ characteristic did act on their way-finding intention. Yet by mean of IPA analysis, the diverseness between importance and satisfaction to the travelers against the major and minor facility signage system did exist, and the travelers’ characteristic did affect their acknowledgement between importance and satisfaction against the different facility signage. Conclusively, the suggestions were accommodated to the airport authorities as follow: 1.The Airport facility signage should be based on globally accepted pictograms.2.Prudential evaluation on signage's “location”and“dimension”. 3.For reference of the futuristic signage design, the “functional signage”should be further enhanced.
