碩士 === 世新大學 === 廣播電視電影學研究所(含碩專班) === 95 === “Home, Sweet Home”is a story about the self awareness and the self identification. In the story, the main character Wang Li Feng is a housewife who devotes herself to the family so much. She believes that this would be an ideal life. However, she doesn't know what she really wants and she forgets to live for her own. In the other hand, there're two other characters in the story, Chou Li Feng and Chen Gin Cheng. Chou Li Feng is a physical female who prefers being masculine and Chen Gin Cheng is gay. Both of them are ones who belongs to the minority in the mainstream society. They have to hide their true self to survive in this world. But at last this hiding makes their crises of their self identification. They struggled to decide whether to be themselves or to follow the rules of this society. In the script we may see the reflection of the true world according to what the characters have been through. Is the so-called “ideal life”only the stereotype or concept given by the mainstream? Is it possible that the meaning ideal life can differ from person to person? Although the society has been progressing, the female and the other sexual minority are still treated unequally in some way. When reading the script, it is expected that the readers can think about these questions and be more liberate toward different genders and groups.
