Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) === 95 === Since "The Internet" has become the channel getting knowledge in new generation and the best way leading into the treasure of information, traditional media such as books, newspaper, magazines, television, radio and so on are no longer the only and the most efficient resources of getting knowledge.
In the past, website contents were provided and maintained by website owners like website administrators or enterprises. However, in the recent years, the Internet users are not only the users but also the provider of website contents. Behaviors of “creation and sharing” suddenly become a popular spirit and totally transform the Internet usage behaviors that the users used to just play the role of information receivers passively. And Tim O'Reilly, a promoter and CEO of O’Reilly Media, Inc., coined the term “Web 2.0”. Wherever the Internet users are, they could share information with one other thru Web 2.0 based websites.
On the other hand, although the Internet search engines decreased the pain of gathering information for Internet users, the functions and convenience of search engines should be reinforced. Thus, this research aimed to provide the studying that could attain the essential factors of the search engines based on Web 2.0 spirit.
By reviewing literatures, the studying reorganized the current weakness of search engines as well as the characteristics and development tendency of Web 2.0. After that, meeting six experts and having interviews in requirements of search engines derived the answers to the problems to be solved. Open style dialogue is also recorded in the studying. Through those processes, the professional opinions regarding to search engine, digital information, resource integration, the tendency of Web 2.0 and the whole Internet world future were fully comprehended. Hence, the six essential factors of search engines based on Web 2.0 spirit are proposed as follows: Authority transformation and user participation, website personalization, integrated information displays, user-friendly interface and platform, platform of interactive accessories, and easily managed platform.
The functions of the expected platform were worked out according to the above six essential factors. After constructing platform functions, a system was developed and the testers using this system were requested to fill out questionnaires to confirm the validations of these six features. As the result, this research report and follow-up research suggestions are delivered.
