Both field of government and academics have noticed the north-south or urban-rural divides. This paper intends to analyze the spatial distribution of financial activities in Taiwan, observing the spatial dependence of financial activities. Moreover, we attempt to the other one measure the impacts of social network and digitalization on the households’ financial activities, in considering the spatial dependence effects. We use the data from Taiwanese Household Survey in 2005 and examine the spatial dependence through Moran’s I and LISA by Geoda software. Then we build a bayesian spatial model, using BayesX software and MCMC method to estimate the coefficient. According to the empirical results, financial activities in northern Taiwan are obviously more active. And the degree of digitalization is low in the central Taiwan. As for demographic variables, if income and insurance expense are positively related with financial activities. If the host of household is female、having high education and working in manufacture, his(her) household involve more financial activities. More important, section, social network and digitalization show positively influence on financial activities, considering the spatial effects and demographic variables. That is, the households having intensive social network or higher digitalization degree would engage more financial activities. Min-Hua Kuo 郭敏華 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 53 zh-TW
