By comparing the public policy courses in Taiwan and United States and by interviewing the professors responsible for public policy teaching, the author finds that there are some drawbacks in Taiwan public policy teaching. In offering core courses, Taiwan public affairs graduate programs ignore the importance of micro-economics and do not make students have full understanding of policy science by core courses. In designing courses, the professors do not make the connection between student’s learning outcomes and course objective and do not offer students enough opportunities to use theory on policy problem solving. Furthermore, the members of public affair programs lack the consensus of public policy components and competencies. In order to improve public policy teaching in Taiwan, the author suggests that the program members should build the consensus of public policy components and competencies. The professors should let students grasp the related concepts of policy science and competencies and improve students’ ability to analyze policy problem. Chilik, Yu 余致力 學位論文 ; thesis 210 zh-TW
