Since the military psychology services do not conduct the strategic management, it is also necessary to discuss the integrated planning of the psychology services from a microscopic perspective to achieve the goal of reinforcing the military power. Seeing that the public and private sectors have been benefited by utilizing the strategic management, the researcher attempts to construct a blueprint for the future strategic management of the psychology services by reviewing strategic management related literature that would conform to the properties of military psychology services. The purpose of this preliminary study is to understand if the formulation of military psychology services is consistent with the principles of strategic management and to present suggestions for introducing the strategic management to military psychology services according the research findings. In this research, the content analysis method is adopted to analyze the official references on the focus of the planning of military psychology services. According to the blueprint of the future strategic management in the psychology services, the researcher constructs three main analytical categories—“strategic analysis”, “strategic action”, and “strategic evaluation”, as well as the sub-categories. In comparison with the similar functions of current military psychology services, the concepts about the above categories are utilized to analyze the formulation and practices of military psychology services. The research findings are concluded as follows: I. Agreeable to strategic management Basically, the formulation of the psychology services in the armed forces has dealt with the contents of the three categories, ‘’strategic analysis’’, ’’strategic action’’, and ’’strategic evaluation’’, but it has not involved the comprehensive view of the strategic management. II. Not agreeable to strategic management Compared with the concept of strategic management, the planning of military psychology services is insufficient in following aspects:(1)lack of environment surveillance (2)lack of the long-term planning (3)lack of the performance evaluation and the control mechanism (4)neglect of the need of stakeholders (5)restriction of(hieracrhy)organizational culture that against the professional services(6)contradiction among the designs of work procedure, related planning and the organizational structure. 錢淑芬 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 153 zh-TW
