I will introduce several thoughts as playing guides. The way to realize the musical form of this symphony, I analyze the connection of each sections; the other ways to realize the phrases, I analyze the rhythm and intervals of motives. I also analyze the harmony based on the bass line and center notes to understand the development of the music. The instrumentation is also various and plentiful to enrich the piece. The unique style of this piece is because Mendelssohn uses lots of the pentatonic scale, syncopation and appoggiatura. We should take notice on those special ideas. I also pay lots of attention on comparing the recordings, including lots of famous conductor, such as Riccardo Muti, Kurt Masur, Peter Maag and Herbert von Karajan. After comparing the interpretation of each composer, it also helps me to have different thought when I play the piece. Concert Program: 1.Sergei Prokofiev (1892-1953):Romeo and Juliet Suite No.2, Op.64 (1.Montagues and Capulets, 2.The Child Juliet ) 2.Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791): Die Entführung aus dem Serail K.V.384 3.Ferdinand David (1810-1873): Concertino No.4 for Trombone and Orchestra in Eb. Op.4 4.Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847): Symphony No.3“Scottish”Op.56 Ch-jen Chang 張己任 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW |
