Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 95 === Lieder play a decisive role in vocal music as we can observe the concert programs as well as music and video publication. The great age of Lieder came in the 19th century in German and Austrian. Lieder have impact on the development of vocal music of the neighbors of German. The genre combines literature and music. At beginning, the composers wrote small pieces with piano accompaniment. At later period, some composers wrote works with orchestral accompaniment. The works of Schubert (1797~1828)and Wolf(1860~1903) are representatives of Lieder in earlier days and in later stage, respectively. Wolf promotes the importance of literature and piano in Lieder because of the influence from Schumann(1810~1856) and Wagner(1818~1883). The works of Wolf's mature period unfold the fineness in music and the profundity literature. This paper studies five works of Wolf's mature period based on Mörike's(1804~1873) poems. The interpretation of five lieder are not only based on different versions but also the analysis of styles and characteristics of works of Wolf and Mörike.
