The composers of this kind of small pieces express their unique music idea. The lyric piano pieces have features of short, independent and simple form. They express one or only a few musical ideas and have remarkable characteristic lyricism and poeticism. They also have the elements of sound to be concentrated on. Today, Schubert receives extremely high appraisal in the lyric piano pieces. This thesis try to find out the style of Schubert’s “the lyric piano pieces” by working on the background of initial period of romanticism and analysis of music pieces and how the style affect descending composers. In this thesis, lyric piano pieces such as Moments Musicaux (D.780, op. 94), Impromptus (D.899, op. 90), Impromptus (D.935, op. 142) and Drei Klavierstücke, D.946 are main discussion objects.
