In our daily life, we can find the phenomenon brought out by the “ha-ri” culture, such as Japanese food, Japanese hand-pulled noodles and so on. Some scholars hold the negative point of view to those phenomena or even discriminate against the “ha-ri” culture. Also, some scholars thought that the “ha-ri”culture is some kind of inferior cultural phenomenon, and it is unworthily discussed. Perhaps in most of the scholars’ opinion, the “ha-ri” culture is unworthy of research or discussion, however, some phenomena which it presents still should not be neglected. There must be some advantages in every culture, and the “ha-ri” culture is no exception, so that is why it can enter the domestic market. Some advantages in the “ha-ri” culture such as excellent serves, fine packing, punctuality and so on, are worthy of learning.
Based on the “ha-ri”cultural phenomenon in Taiwan, we can discuss the exchange among different cultures, and it also can make us understand the meaning of cultural exchanges and the significance of cultural elevation. By this research paper, we can make an introspection to our local culture, on the other hand, we can even learn the advantages of other cultures, to make mutually exchanges, and evaluate the development of our own culture.

The second chapter will discuss the present situation and the phenomenon of the “ha-ri” culture, then make a simple classification toward the aspects which the “ha-ri” culture involves, such as mess media, fashion products, diet culture and so on. Also, I will aim on the cultural exchanging situation between China and Japan, or even between Taiwan and Japan in order to explain my point of view. The fourth chapter will discuss the phenomenon of the “ha-ri” culture and explore the meaning of the “ha-ri” culture based on the concept of cultural exchange, and it will be discussed from the two aspect of the cultural promotion and the culture invasion.
