This also analyzed the treatment of social workers’ to the foreign spouses case despite the given differences.
Facing multi-cultural, ethnicity or migration problems Habermas’ approach is to face these given problems into “Ideal Speech Situation” to understand the culture or the differences and to overcome all the misunderstanding and prejudice.
Thus, this research apply the concept of Habermas “Ideal Speech Situation” to inspect the social workers’ process of treatment and culture competence on how to manage the foreign spouses situation. Also this research study focuses on three issues: First on how social workers’ apply the “speech act” and “validity claim” on the service condition in the foreign spouses case. Secondly, analyzes the social workers’ “cultural competence” on the process of treatment. And finally an analysis on how the “Ideal Speech Situation” meets the service in the entire social work place to utilize the situation. This research anticipates to integrate the “Ideal Speech Situation” in social workers’ work in facing foreign spouses case. As well as for the social workers’ to consider applying this method in terms of handling of foreign spouses case.
